Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra Chariot Festival @ Bando, Ibaraki, 2024 July 14th

Bando, Ibaraki, Japan – July 14, 2024 – The annual Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra chariot festival was full of devotees (approximately 1,000 attendees) in Bando, Ibaraki. This Indian cultural Rath Yatra shows and explores the rich heritage of Odisha, and has a profound impact on the Japanese community.


Patanjali Japan Foundation’s Active Participation

Patanjali Japan Foundation attended the Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra on 14th July. Ashutosh Sensei (Chief Sewa Officer and Representative Director) was present at the event.


Ashutosh Sensei also distributed 500 flyers of our Routine services, and promoted our health and wellness services, emphasizing the integration of cultural and holistic health practices.



Event Highlights 

The day began with religious rites at the Shree Ram Mandir and the Shree Jagannath Puja, where people enjoyed rich Indian culture and Indian festival theme. Devotees also attended the traditional Havan and Pushpanjali ceremony along with prayers and flowers. 



An Aarti ceremony was also held to honour the deities. In the afternoon, traditional performances were also organized, that beautifying and showcasing India's rich heritage. This beautiful Rath Yatra ended with the ceremonial sweeping of the chariots by devotees.


Conclusion

The Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra festival in Bando continues to be an outstanding place where Indian and Japanese exchange their cultural values with each other through yoga and spirituality.
