Press Release
Tokyo, Japan – August 17, 2024 – Patanjali Japan Foundation (PJF) is thrilled to announce the return of in-person yoga sessions for its dedicated yogis (Adiyogis and Sewayogis). After a significant pause due to the pandemic, these much-anticipated sessions have resumed at the Komyoji Temple in Tokyo.
Komyoji Temple: A Serene Setting for Yoga Practice
Komyoji, a Buddhist temple established more than 700 years ago, collaborated with PJF for the shared mission of making a healthy Japanese society and provided the space for yoga practice for regular yogis of PJF. The temple's serene ambience, conveniently located just a minute's walk from Kamiyacho station on the Hibiya line, provides an ideal setting for yogis to deepen their practice.
Inaugural Session: Pranayama and Meditation
The inaugural in-person session was expertly guided by Varada Sensei and Ashutosh Sensei, focusing on pranayama (breathing techniques) and dhyana (meditation).
Upcoming In-Person Sessions
Additional in-person yoga sessions are scheduled to take place at Komyoji Temple in the coming months.
International Yoga Day (IDY) Celebration and Retreat
Beyond the regular sessions, PJF's International Yoga Day (IDY) core members recently celebrated with a delightful dinner at Nirvanam. The group is also eagerly anticipating a tennis and yoga retreat in Yamanakako on September 14th and 15th, 2024.
