New Year Message 2023
Hello, Namaste, Good Morning, and Ohayougozaimasu! 😊
We wish you, your family, and your friends a very happy and healthy new year 2023!
Year 2022 brought a lot of changes to our team, and we feel very proud, happy and satisfied to share the updates with you all.
How We Started Our Journey in 2022
Our 2022 started with 75 Crore (750 Million) Suryanamaskar event on January 1st. It was organized by Patanjali Yogpeeth, Geeta Pariwar, National Yogasan Sports Federation, Kreeda Bharati, Heartfulness Institute, Haryana Yog Aayog and World Yogasana (all India) on the occasion of 75 years of Indian Independence.
We at PJF planned 10,000 rounds of Surya namaskar in 51 Days and completed more than 35,000 rounds of Surya Namaskar.
We are proud to share that we could contribute to the Guinness book of world Records for the largest online photo album of yoga poses consisting of 439,551 photos.
Daily Online Pranayama Special Yoga session for Stress Management
We have completed more than 750 days of daily pranayama special yoga shivir which has been provided free of cost for more than two years. It is a challenging task to come up daily without missing a single day, but it could happen only because of our team members' dedication and consistent efforts.
Another Amazing Event - International Day of Yoga 2022
For International Day of Yoga 2022, we arranged 75+ yoga classes, the event which continued for 31 days. More than 35 guest teachers/speakers from around the globe shared their knowledge of yoga, including practice, lectures, and workshops in various languages like Japanese, Hindi, English, Russian, etc.
On June 21st, the International Day of Yoga started with the session of common yoga protocol in the land of rising sun at Tokyo Tower at 7:00 AM JST conducted by our director Dhanashree sensei.
Other Events Participation & More
I also feel grateful to be invited as a guest teacher for different yoga events organized by various organizations, including the Yoga Organization of Japan, the Embassy of India, the Japan Parliament, Biotopia, and Japan Marine Self Defense Force.
Some events took place as a pleasant surprise like the sudden visit of the Honorable Prime Minister of Bharat (India), Shri Narendra Modi ji to Japan and some mishaps like Honorable Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Shinzo Abe Ji's assassination.
We would also like to utilize this opportunity to thank our Honorable Ambassador of India to Japan Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma Ji who completed his term this year. Many of our plans came to fruition due to his continued support and encouragement. You will be dearly missed.
Patanjali Japan Foundation As Legal Entity
Also by the support from various organizations and the Embassy of India, we registered our organization on the occasion of Vijaydashmi on October 5th, 2022.
Furthermore, 2022 marks 70 years of diplomatic relations between India and Japan, and we feel fortunate to be able to exist as a legal entity during these times.
Aman sensei has been offering evening classes for more than 300 days.
Monthly Interactive Sessions had more in-person gatherings compared to 2021, and hopefully, it will increase in 2023.
We feel humbled and proud of all these achievements where we got the opportunity to share the traditional knowledge of yoga to help make a healthy and happy Japanese society.
Our New Launchings & More For Users
We have also launched a brand new Yoga wing, a knowledge base, that will help all yogis to navigate their progress.
Also feel free to visit our teachers portal and get to know all our excellent instructors who specialize in different branches of yoga.
All our teachers are certified by Yoga Certification Board, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of Bharat (India), or equivalent.
Our team has grown in 2022 from only a few to double-digit members. Dhanashree sensei, Harshit, Sachi, Kirti, Aman sensei, Soko sensei, Varada sensei, Suhani sensei, Sara sensei, and many backend Sewa yogis like Yoko, Norah, and many more who have consistently contributed to this mission without even disclosing their names.
2023 is also going to be very exciting as we are developing new programs like additional daily yoga class at 6 PM, exciting Interactive Sessions by many yoga experts, and new short-term courses to enhance your yogic knowledge.
Our focus has always been around creating a healthy Japanese society by inculcating daily yoga into their lifestyle. Moreover, we want to focus on the sustainable career plan for Yoga teachers in Japan as well.
We aim to convey the true essence of yoga to each individual in Japan.
I thank you, all my team, for your continuous efforts with the sewa mindset and omotenashi way, which connects the heart of Bharat (India) and Japan.
Let's join together in this mission of making a zero-stress, zero-depression, and zero-suicide Japanese society with the power of Yoga.
Thank you once again and Happy New Year!
Best Regards
