52nd Monthly Interactive Session October 20, 2024 - Yoga for Body pain (Backache, Stiff Shoulder, Neckpain)

Tokyo, Japan, October 20, 2024 – Today we, Patanjali Japan Foundation successfully conducted our “Live Interactive Session - Yoga for Body Pain (Backache, Stiff Shoulder, Neck Pain)”.


This session was specially designed for people with back pain, neck pain and shoulder stiffness due to their sitting job. This session includes all frequently asked questions and explains briefly about and solution of back pain.



As per our record of years, we were live on YouTube through zoom meet.


This session was started by Varada Sensei with an introduction and recent updates of Patanjali Japan Foundation such as YogaFest 2024 held in Yokohama Pacifico and Namaste India 2024 in Yoyogi Park along with its policy.


Upcoming Events & activities!

We are planning to launch our new online shopping website for “A Better Lifestyle” where you can purchase our yoga rugs and other accessories from November 23, 2024 (Saturday). We are also working on a Yoga Session at Prince Hotel on November 24, 2024 (Sunday) at 5:00 PM in collaboration with Jurlique. The yoga sequence will be based on the moon position that day.


Our Chief Sewa Officer (Representative Director) also gave a few words to spread awareness about health.


The session was continued by our teachers Varada Sensei and Genboku Sensei, where they discussed back pain, their causing factors along with its solutions. The outline of the discussion are as follows:


  • Principles of Pain and Repair: Principle of Overload

  • Ankle Flexibility Helps Upper Body Pain

  • Linkage from the Toes to the Ankle and Knee Joints

  • Knee Joints, Bow Legs and Knock Knees

  • Muscle Groups Involved in Flexibility of the Hip Joint

  • Increases Flexibility around the Shoulders to Prevent Stiff

  • The Joints and Muscles around the Neck that Stably Support the Heavy Head

  • Using Tāḍāsana as a basis, let’s think about how to structure Asanas to prevent stiff shoulders, Backache, and neck pain.


Recommended Asanas

  • Sukshma Vyayama for Neck,shoulders

  • Setu bandhasana

  • Supt vakrasana

  • Pavan muktasana

  • Marjarasana

  • Bhujangasana

Teamwork!

At this point of time, our website was not working as it is in the renewal process, however, many people have still joined our interactive session. We are very proud and are keen on continuing to serve knowledge and wisdom to society through these sessions. We had a great breakout room session where our teachers were also able to show a few asanas practically to our attendees.

After our 52nd Monthly Interactive Session, we are all set to serve you our 53rd Interactive Session on the theme of “Yoga for Senior Citizens”.
